The technical analysis of the NZDUSD price chart on 1-hour timeframe shows NZDUSD,H1 is advancing above the 200-period moving average MA(200) after returning above the MA(200) a week ago. We believe the bullish momentum will continue after the price breaches above the upper bound of the Donchian channel at 0.61003. A level above this can be used as an entry point for placing a pending order to buy. The stop loss can be placed below 0.60744. After placing the order, the stop loss is to be moved to the next fractal low indicator, following Parabolic signals. Thus, we are changing the expected profit/loss ratio to the breakeven point. If the price meets the stop loss level without reaching the order, we recommend cancelling the order: the market has undergone internal changes which were not taken into account.

New Zealand’s building consents moved higher in May. Will the NZDUSD price continue advancing?
Statistics New Zealand reported New Zealand’s building consents moved higher in May: New Zealand’s building consents rose 10.4% from a month earlier in May reaching 3,151 units after 14.6% decrease in April. At the same time building consents declined 3.8% over year in May to 33,530 new dwellings with the annual value of non-residential building work consented down by 2.3% to $9.0 billion. Declining building permits points to declining activity in New Zealand building sector which is bearish for New Zealand dollar and the NZDUSD currency pair. However, the current setup is bullish for the pair.
